The award will go to the best graduate student paper on anthropology and reproduction. Submissions from all fields of anthropology are encouraged. Criteria on which the papers will be judged: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ethnographic richness based on fieldwork<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Anthropological methodology<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> Linkage of work to other work in anthropology and reproduction<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> Effective use of theory and data<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> Originality\/Creativity<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> Organization, quality of writing, and coherence of argument<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" \/><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A committee of CAR members will read the papers. The author of the winning paper will receive a cash award of approximately <!--more-->$250. The winner will be announced in both the CAR Newsletter and the Anthropology Newsletter. An abstract of the winning article will be published in the CAR Newsletter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Submissions must be received by <strong>June 1, 2008<\/strong>. Send four hard copies of the paper. On a separate page, include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and school affiliation. Please do not include identifying information on the essay itself. Papers should be double-spaced, no longer than 9,000 words (including references), and references should be formatted in American Anthropologist style.
