{"id":1467,"date":"2009-04-27T14:41:39","date_gmt":"2009-04-27T12:41:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.univie.ac.at\/Geschichte\/salon21\/?p=1467"},"modified":"2022-05-19T16:19:02","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T16:19:02","slug":"cfp-women-mobilizing-for-change-past-present-future-event-tampa-florida-102009-dl-june-1-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salon21.univie.ac.at\/?p=1467","title":{"rendered":"CfP: Women Mobilizing for Change: Past, Present, Future (Event: Tampa, Florida 10\/2009); DL: June 1, 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>University of Tampa<\/strong> will host the next <strong>Florida Consortium of Women&#8217;s and Gender Studies Conference<\/strong>, October 2-4, 2009 in Tampa, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>The breadth of this interdisciplinary conference allows for research in a wide historical area, including well-known historical landmarks for women to explore their legacies for the present and the future; contemporary interaction of women\u2019s movements with local, regional, and global communities, organizations, and institutions; and an exploration of how underlying ideological concerns today will impact women\u2019s roles tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Individual papers, panels and roundtables or workshops are welcome. We encourage a broad range of theoretical and methodological avenues of approach and wide range of topics. We also welcome innovative presentational formats.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Individual conference papers should be no more than 20 minutes in duration. Panels, roundtables and workshops will last 90 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts should be at least 250 to 500 words double-spaced, include the presenter\u2019s contact information and brief vita, and must be received by <strong>June 1, 2009<\/strong>.
