This conference, which takes place on Wednesday 2nd April 2014, combines two of the \u2018hottest\u2019 topics in current historical research \u2013 Food, and the First World War &#8211; the respective themes of the annual Anglo-American Conference of Historians in 2013 and 2014.<br \/>\nIn 2014 people around the world will mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. This one day symposium<!--more--> explores a unique aspect of that conflict: the role of food and drink on the Western Front and beyond.
