Stock<br \/>\nAlexander Watson ist Lecturer in History am Goldsmiths College, University of London. Nach Studium und PhD an der University of Oxford war er in verschiedenen Positionen an der University of Cambridge und der Universit\u00e4t Warschau t\u00e4tig. Sein Forschungsinteresse gilt vor allem der Sozial-, Kultur- und Gewaltgeschichte Zentraleuropas und Grossbritanniens im sp\u00e4ten 19. und fr\u00fchen 20. Jahrhundert. Sein j\u00fcngstes Buch \u201eRing of Steel: Germany and Austria-Hungary at War 1914-1918, London 2014&#8243; bietet eine Geschichte des Weltkriegs aus der Perspektive \u00d6sterreich-Ungarns und Deutschlands.
