Dabei werden Wallfahrten als Ph\u00e4nomen \u201everdichteter\u201c Medialit\u00e4t analysiert, die sich in intensiver Kommunikation mit einer gattungs\u00fcbergreifenden Vielfalt an eng miteinander in Beziehung stehenden Medien \u00e4u\u00dfert.<br \/>\nIm Fokus der Tagung sollen jene Aspekte und Fragen stehen, die sich auf die Erwartungshaltungen der Pilger:innen in Bezug auf die Erlangung des Seelenheils beziehen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren sowohl (kirchen-)rechtliche Fragen als auch die Untersuchung der Netzwerke von Akteur:innen sowie die Disposition von Wallfahrtsorten als herausragende Destinationen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeaw.ac.at\/fileadmin\/Institute\/INZ\/img\/forschung\/Kunstgeschichte\/SALVEMED_Call_for_Papers_Accounting_for_Salvation_dt.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Weiterlesen &#8230; (PDF)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Version in English<\/strong>: The starting point for this international conference is the interdisciplinary research project SALVEMED, which aims to make a new contribution to a differentiated view of the diverse mechanisms of early modern pilgrimage in Austria by investigating the mediality and the associated socio-spatial networks of pilgrimage sites. In this project, pilgrimages are analysed as a phenomenon of \u201ccondensed\u201d mediality, which manifests itself in dense communication based on a variety of closely interrelated media.<br \/>\nThe conference will focus on aspects and questions relating to the expectations of pilgrims with regard to the attainment of salvation.
