The Foundation for the History of Women in Medicine is pleased to offer fellowships to support research related to the history of women in medicine. Preference will be giving to projects that deal specifically with women physicians or other health workers or medical scientists, but proposals dealing with the history of women?s health issues may also be considered.
The Foundation provides grants to assist in covering the costs of the Resident Research Fellow. In return, the Foundation requests a copy of the final research paper, and the ability to post excerpts from the paper. Research results have found their way into papers, lectures and documentaries, thus preserving the unique perspectives and contributions of women in medicine.
Information on how to apply for a Fellowship or how to Name a Fellowship can be found on our website at www.fhwim.org or by contacting the Foundation office at 484-945-2104.
