Women & the F-Word (Web)
Women & the F-Word is the research blog of the “Projet Horizon” of the Laboratoire d’Etudes et de Recherches sur le Monde Anglophon (LERMA) (Web) at Aix-Marseille Université (AMU). The interdisciplinary team (Web) seeks to explore women’s complex relationship to feminism in the English-speaking world (and beyond) since the 19th century.
The original project (2016-2021) focused on women’s resistance to feminism(s) in both intimate conversations (“You know, I am not a feminist, but…”) and public demonstrations (Web). You can find out more about it by visiting the “Previously, on Women & the F-Word“-page (Web).
That initial project has led the activists to ponder the ways in which feminism can be said to haunt women’s lived experiences, but also our public spaces and scholarly discourses. Hence their new three-stream project (from 2021) on the “spectres of feminism”, which you can read all about by opening the “Our (New) Project“-page (Web).
