Die ITH/International Conference of Labour and Social History ist eine internationale Vereinigung von Forschungsinstitutionen und Historiker/inne/n, die sich schwerpunktmäßig mit der Geschichte der Arbeit und sozialer Bewegungen befassen. Sie veranstaltet seit den 1960er Jahren wissenschaftliche Konferenzen.

Dieses Jahr organisiert sie zusammen mit dem Institut für Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte der Universität Wien vom 16.-18.11. 2007 in Wien eine internationale Tagung zum Thema: Transnationale Netzwerke, Beiträge zur Geschichte der Globalisierung.

Inhaltliche Konzeption

Für diese Tagung würden wir noch Referent/inn/en zu folgenden Themenbereichen suchen:
– Netzwerke internationaler jüdischen Organisationen
– Religiöse Netzwerke (Missionsorden, evangelikale Netzwerke)
Vorschläge in Form eines 1-2-seitigen Abstracts, welche Fragen der Strukur, der Funktionsweise und der Kommunikationsweise von Netzwerken in den Mittelpunkt stellen, werden bis 15. Mai 2007 erbeten an: ith@doew.at
Konferenzsprachen sind deutsch und englisch. Eine Publikation in Form eines Sammelbands ist geplant. Die Organisatoren tragen die Aufenthaltskosten und auf Antrag auch die Reisekosten.

The International Conference of Labour and Social History/ITH is an international association of historians and research institutes on Labour and social movements. It has, since the 1960s, organized scientific conferences.

This year, we are organizing a conference in collaboration with the Institute for Economic and Social History of the University of Vienna from November 16th to 18th, 2007, in Vienna, Austria, on the subject of: Transnational Networks. Contributions to the history of „Globalization“
Conceptual outline of the conference:
We are still looking for scientific contributions on the following topics:
– Networks of international Jewish organizations
– Churches and church-like organizations: mission-orders and evangelical networks
Applications may be submitted as abstracts of 1-2 pages, emphasizing questions of the structure, modes of function and communication of networks until May 15th by e-mail: ith@doew.at
Conference-languages are German and English. The proceedings of the conference shall be published. The organizers will cover accommodation, and, on demand, travel costs.
