The IX Conference of Nordic women’s and gender historians will be held at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik, 11-14 August 2008. The theme for the conference is /Gender, Space and Borders/.
The conference consists of three key-note lectures which are Ida Blom, Professor Emerita at the University of Bergen, Judith M. Bennett, Professor of History at the University of Southern California, and Ellen Dubois Professor at the University of California (UCLA), panel discussions, thematic sessions, and roundtables.
Interested scholars are invited to send proposals for papers that fall within the lines of the sessions and roundtables, see further information at www.qhist08.is
Deadline for sending in abstracts for papers is *December 1, 2007*.
