II.) Museumsgespräch

Die über 200 Jahre alte Sammlung von anatomischen Wachsmodellen der Medizinischen Universität Wien zählt zu den bedeutendsten ihrer Art weltweit. Geschaffen wurde sie im Auftrag von Kaiser Joseph II. von Felice Fontana, dem Initiator und ersten Direktor des Museums „La Specola“ in Florenz. Gemeinsam mit den Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern aus Florenz präsentieren wir ein im Rahmen eines Forschungsschwerpunktes im Jahr 2005 entstandenes Buch über Felice Fontana und laden Sie zu einem Blick in unsere Sammlungen und ihre Geschichte ein. Während des Museusmgespräches stehen Ihnen bei einem Spaziergang durch das Josephinum ExpertInnen zur Verfügung, die Einblicke in ihre Arbeit mit und über die Sammlungen vermitteln.
