Call for Discussant

  • Reproduction in the 20C; DL: –

Two colleagues and I are seeking a discussant for our panel proposal for the Berks 2011 conference. Our panel is about state interventions in reproduction in the twentieth century. Our papers examine the politics of U.S. domestic federal family planning programs (Josie Rodberg, Harvard University), the ways the Roe v. Wade decision influenced U.S. foreign policy (Allison Lauterbach, University of Southern California), and infanticide and abortion cases during the Trujillo dictatorship, 1930-61 (Dominican Republic) (Melissa Madera, SUNY Binghamton).

If you would be willing to serve as a discussant, please email me directly at josierodberg@gmail.com.

Thank you,
Josie Rodberg
