Atria, Institute on Gender Equality and Women’s History in the Netherlands (Web), invites to its conference to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Collection International Archives for the Women’s Movement (IAV). The Collection IAV is one of the oldest collections on women and gender worldwide and is preserved by Atria.
Time: December 3-4, 2015
Venue: Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam
The conference will focus on the social, cultural and political importance of women’s archives and institutions for the enhancement of gender equality in the 21st century. Distinguished speakers from Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, Sweden, UK, USA and the Netherlands will present current perspectives and findings on the role of women’s archives in the 20st and 21st century.
