Working Title: Eliminating Abusive Cultural Rites, Values and Practices – the Role of African Men, Women and Youth.

Call for abstracts/proposals – We welcome submissions on any topic related to this year’s theme of Eliminating Abusive Cultural Rites, Values and Practices – the Role of African Men, Women and Youth.
All proposals must be in English. Presentations at the conference will be in the form of brief papers (30 minutes long), panels (90 minutes for 2 panelists with 30 minutes for Q & A) and best practices and case studies. Presentations will be accepted on the basis of the proposal. These must be submitted electronically preferably as attachments in Word format. The conference organizers may approach proposal writers to request changes in their proposals to better fit conference needs. Presenters should register for the conference as paying participants. No compensation is possible. Abstracts will be
published in the conference abstract book and papers will be published in the Proceedings journal. Presenters must register by April 30, 2008 or their presentation will be removed from the program.
