FeMig.Lab Female Labour Migration in European History (Web)
Women who migrated within and to Europe have shaped our societies as workers, caregivers, and activists. Join us for the launch of Women Work Migration, a collaborative online platform developed by migrant women, museums, researchers, artists, and activists from across Europe. Bringing together diverse perspectives and personal testimonies, the platform invites visitors to rediscover European history through the experiences of women on the move.
Drawing on stories shared on the platform, contributors will reflect on the continuities and transformations of female labour migration from the twentieth century to the present day. The discussion will also explore the methodological and ethical questions involved in representing personal narratives and broader social structures in public memory.
